Mike Guido. Shihan. On The Floor.
Mike Guido has trained in martial arts for over three decades. He opened Guido's Martial Arts Academy with one rule that has not changed since day one. The owner teaches. Not when there is time. Not when it is convenient. Every level. Every week.
That standard is why parents drive past three other schools to reach the dojo on Shaw Avenue. It is why adult beginners walk in nervous and walk out hooked. It is why kids who started as Little Ninjas at four years old are still on the mat as teenagers, wearing belts they earned.
Shihan is a title that means master instructor. Mike answers to it because he keeps earning it. He still trains. He still corrects your stance. He still remembers your kid's name.
"I love all the people. The instructors, the students, and the families. A positive group of people who are trying to be their absolute best. This is the place I wish I had as a kid and young adult."
