More Than A School

A Clovis Family. A Local Community. One Mat.

Guido's is family-owned, Clovis-rooted, and built on character. The school is what it is because the people in it choose to make it that way every week.

How We Got Here

Family-Built. Locally Run.

Guido's is not a franchise. The Guido family runs the school day to day, and most of the certified instructors started as students here. Decisions get made on the mat, not in a corporate office. That shows up in everything from how new students are welcomed to how problems get resolved.

The Framework

The Six Principles.

Modesty

Be confident without being loud.

Courtesy

Respect the room, the partners, the standard.

Integrity

Do what you said you would do, even when it's hard.

Perseverance

Show up, especially when you don't want to.

Self-control

Capability with restraint. The whole point of martial arts.

Indomitable spirit

Don't quit. Reset and go again.

“All three of my kids leave happy every class. The instructors get to know each kid as a person, not just a student.”
